Three distinct communities lie within 20 minutes of one another, each with its own culture. Raleigh, the largest of the three, is the state capital. It boasts entertainment such as ballet and opera companies, theaters and museums. Chapel Hill remains a college town known for its supreme quality of life. And Durham is a thriving center for medical research, with Duke Hospital leading the way.

All three are served by Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Research Triangle Park (RTP) is among the world’s hot spots in fields of science and technology. With more than 130 companies employing more than 40,000 people, RTP represents one of the largest biotechnology industries in the U.S. And they say the area has the most Ph.D.s per capita in the country.

The Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area is a real haven for sports fans, with years of legendary college sports tradition. In addition to being home to the University of North Carolina Tar Heels, the North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Duke Blue Devils, the area gives you the NHL Carolina Hurricanes and two AAA baseball teams to root for.

Jordan Lake offers parks, campgrounds, recreation areas and hiking trails, just minutes from your door. And you’re just two hours from the beach and four hours from the Appalachian Mountains.

The Legacy is located in Chatham County, which offers leading-edge learning facilities, excellent teachers and a long tradition of educational excellence.

It’s no wonder the area appears frequently on lists of the country’s “Best Places To Live.” The Legacy at Jordan Lake will help cement the Triangle’s place on those lists.
